The Quick spell card - Shrink

Hi guys, iosmk here. Was pretty happy after getting the hardest card to get which is gold tori. Okay, let's continue the card review. Today, Shrink had been chosen by us.


Shrink 収縮 --> Quick Spell Card

Select 1 face-up monster on the field. The original ATK of that monster is halved until the end of that turn.

So, why do we choose this card for today? Let's see the Advantages and disadvantages of this card.

Advantages =
1. It chooses 1 monster. So we can choose our own monster too.
2. It is a quick spell card, so if you have this card in your hand, you can straightly use it in damage step (of course in your turn).
3. Halves a monster's ATK is great. Its HALVED you know.
4. Cheap in both OCG and TCG area.

Disadvantages =
1. It halves original ATK, so if the monster is equipped with spell card, it won't be so effective, and also when you are fighting barbaros or something like tragoedia, it has lots of ruling confussion that may make some trouble during the damage step and end phase.
2. It targets = uneffective to tytannial, thought ruler archfiend and other stuffs.

Card concept = User => -1 card
Opponent => -1 monster if we conrtol a monster as our monster will battle with opp's ,
and -1 as opp's field may be empty.

There will be some cases too when we won't lose anything as if we control a shura or flamvell firedog, we get get to sp summon a monster from our deck. There's also an OTK deck based on this card. Its the cactus fighter OTK deck, if you all know about it. Don't know? Go find out yourself. So, isn't it good? we can -1 opp field and swarm at the sane time. And we can use it at the damage step.
