The man who came from the dark hole - Dark Grepher!

Alright, I came up with a lame tittle there. Hey Guys, Aura here! I'm here with a card review. This card was widely used ever since it made it's first debut on 13 September, 2008. This single card has a great impact on the Yugioh Game.

Dark Grepher
DARK
Types: Warrior/Effect
Level: 4
ATK/DEF: 1700/1600
You can discard 1 Level 5 or higher DARK monster to Special Summon this card from your hand. Once per turn, you can discard 1 DARK monster to send 1 DARK monster from your Deck to your Graveyard.

When this card was just introduced to the game, it's uses were already very wide. It serves well in Skull Servant decks and a popular deck in the OCG, Hopeless Dragon.

Dark Grepher fuels the Hopeless Dragon Engine and made it much more consistent. Dark Grepher allows Hopeless Dragon to set-up easier or Dark Creator or swarm.

Next up, I'm sure all of you guys are familiar with this, the DAD Era. This single card was what it takes to fuel DARK Monsters to the grave or DAD plays. Discard a Dark, send a Dark, Grepher is a dark and there you go, 3 darks for DAD plays. This card was one of the card which contributed decks to make solid plays. In the DAD Era, there was also this deck that was made tier one, Lightsworns. A twilight Sworn Build runs a minimum of 1 Dark Grepher and that 1 Dark Grepher creates wonders too. It helps to fuel Chaos Sorcerer, Feed the graves with Necro Gardna or any darks for DAD Plays.

With it's debut, another fun deck came to rise. The Nohr Variants. It makes Nohr plays extremely simplified with easy combo. It's basically going Auto-Pilot.

When Paired with a few cards, this card leads up to infinite possible combos. A commonly seen combo is to dump Diabolic Guy or Zombie Carrier to the Grave and follow with the two cards effect for an easy lvl 8. Talking about Zombie Carrier, does it rings any bell? Zombies! Which became tier-one not long after DAD Era. It allows simple plays and this card was an enabler for Synchro Spamming. Another deck that came to rise to Tier one was the Blackwings. At first, Blackwings did not have much synergy with Dark Grepher. However, with the release of Vayu, Dark Grepher presence was not to be missed out in a deck having Vayu as the center of the deck. This, of course also applies to the well known VayuSworn which utilizes Lightsworn's Milling ability to lucksack a Vayu to the grave. It was a strong deck to begin with however, with the advent of the banlist, this deck was pretty much left crippled... Another interesting deck that utilizes this card was the Darklords series and Dark World series.

AND! This card was one of the card that made Infernity more consistent. It helps to empty your hand and helps to set-up Infernity combos for FTKs.

A list of decks that utilizes it:
Tele-DAD
DAD Variants
Twilight Lightsworn
VayuSworn
Hopeless Dragon
Skull Servant
Stardust Buster Deck
DarkLords
DarkWorlds
Blackwings
Jinzo Returner
Chaos Godness Variants
D-Hero
Zombies
Sky Scourge
Infernity

In summary, this card was used greatly in many decks to pile up the graveyard with useful Dark Monsters for future plays. Many people was choosing between this card and Armageddon Knight. It really depends on your playstyle. I personally prefer Dark Grepher because it helps a lot with combos. Armageddon on the other hand is slower but it helps to maintain your hand advantage. Moreover, it is special summon-able which speeds up your play to push for wins.

Dark Grepher, a noble man with red eyes, having a black aura coating on him. He was DAD'S best buddy, many decks owe him because he single handedly made many decks stronger. It's usefulness are limitless. It can be a target for Allure, a 1700 beat stick, Dark's Foolish Burial, thins deck, easily affordable in OCG. What can I say about this guy over here? He is just awesome.
Who would have thought this little man with a 1700 card would help out so many decks?

Aura here, hope you guys enjoy my article on Dark Grepher.

~There is no lousy deck, there are only people who don't understand about their decks

Till Next Time, Guys :D
